It looks like the Dolphins' secondary will again be without one of its top players, as cornerback Vontae Davis missed his third straight day of practice on Friday with a hamstring injury and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants. Davis originally injured his hamstring in the Week 2 loss against Houston and sat out subsequent games at Cleveland and San Diego. He returned to the lineup against the Jets in Week 6 but tweaked the injury Sunday against Denver. He has just 16 tackles this year and has played in only two full games. Most likely starting in his place will be rookie seventh-round pick Jimmy Wilson and not Nolan Carroll, who started in Davis’ place in Weeks 3 and 4. Source: Sporting News
