Dolphins Could Be A Suitor For Titans QB Vince Young

Discussion in 'Miami Dolphins' started by BigBlueBruiser, Jun 28, 2011.

  1. According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, there’s a possibility that Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young will end up with the Miami Dolphins. In response to a fans question on whether Young will end up with the Buffalo Bills, Mortensen responded as follows: “Don’t know. I’ve heard Dolphins as a maybe,†wrote Mortensen via Twitter. The Dolphins would be a good fit for Young since it would push him to fight for the starting job with current starter Chad Henne. The competition would also benefit Henne as well since at the moment there’s no one in Miami to compete with him. One of the biggest questions is whether Young will be traded or if the Titans will be forced to release him. If they are able to trade him, they won’t get much for him since teams know they’re desperate to get rid of him.

VY to B Marshall sounds pretty nice, but the Dolphins seem to be a sinking ship that I wouldn't want to be apart of if I had a choice.

    Bill Parcells agrees.

Sinking ship? Really based on what?

I didn't say I agreed just that Parcells does. However since that playoff apperance they have been going nowhere but down.

A Dolphins fan with an Aaron Rodgers sig might explain everything..... or I could call out the worst D-line in the NFL, or the lack of team play, but all that falls on Coaching.

In a division with the Jets & Patriots, and Henne being a dumbass, that is what I call a sinking ship.

My sig is actually Aaron Rodgers talking smack on Brett Favre. Worst Dline in the league? Yeah I know you know nothing about the Dolphins so I'll leave it at that.

I know you didn't. And they went down one season and stayed the same. That's not a sinking ship, it's called coming back to earth.

I don't think they are a sinking ship personally. I think they are a few years removed from making the playoffs again though.

So I was just wondering, who's your favorite D-lineman?
Kendall Langford & Randy Starks led the D-line with 3 sacks a piece(that means the rest of the D-line had less).

So tell me what i'm missing? Do u think 1 of them is about to have a breakout season (seriously not talking trash).

dont forget about odrick...that line could be dirty this year. I love vontae davis and sean smith too, thats a good due of young QBs.

I think vince would be an excellent fit there. He has a top 2 LT, a center that blocked for a mobile QB at florida and will be excellent at the second level, a top 5 WR, bess is a hell of an option as a slot guy, they got solid young pass rushers, a top 5 MLB in dansby. Vince young may have lost his mind and fallen out of favor in tennessee but he was a winner during his duration there

A damn good Running Back too.

Do you not know how a 3-4 works? And Starks is a beast. Langford is a monster. Back to the topic, I wouldn't touch VY with anything.

Id give him one more shot. But his leash would be short. Really really short.

    86WARD -

I'd bring him in to compete for a starting job but the contract he received would be incentive laden based on him starting and would be team friendly.

for real...they allowed young players like wake and misi to combine for 20 sacks, thats without odrick, dansby had like 3-4 and each dlineman had like 3 or 4.

not as terrible as hes making it sound. wake being 3rd in the league in sacks says the dline is doing something right

Wake is a beast. I remember hearing his name a ton when they played the Pats last year.

The Dolphins LB's are very impressive, but I was referring to the D-line. I don't think Odrick will amount to anything imo.
I was hoping he would tell me something about "his D-line" I didn't know.
I just think the Dolphins will not be good this year, they have good pieces but not a whole team.

"my dline" is one of the better 3-4 lines in the league. And so you know, a 3-4 line is there to take on blockers. They are the guys who do the grunt work. They aren't about stats. Don't be a stat line reader when judging a line. And again let's stay on topic. I would punch a baby if the Dolphins signed Young.
