The Miami Dolphins have "jumped into discussions" for free agent defensive end Elvis Dumervil according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post. Dumervil is considered the premier free agent left on the market and is currently mullng over offers from the Baltimore Ravens and his former team the Denver Broncos. The Dolphins have more salary cap room available than either of those teams after failing in their bid to retain OT Jake Long but the degree of their interest in Dumervil is "unclear" at this time. It will be interesting to see how many of these players are on the roster 2-3 year from now. They've already got some heavily back-loaded contracts on the books.
