Miami's Karlos Dansby is the NFL's best linebacker, and that assessment comes straight from Dansby's mouth after he spearheaded the Dolphins' 20-9 victory over the Washington Redskins Sunday. After putting up 10 tackles and an interception on Sunday, Dansby told the Miami Herald, without hesitation that he considers himself the best linebacker in the league. “I’m better than everybody,†he said without pause when I asked if he’s better than Ray Lewis. “Everybody. Period. Point blank. I just haven’t had the recognition, man. I’m more versatile than everybody. Period. Pont blank. I’m more versatile than everybody. Hands down. I can do it all.†Asked if he was a superior player to Urlacher, this was Dansby's assessment of the Chicago Bears' star. “Aging. He’s aging fast, man. He’s a great linebacker, but he’s aging fast. I respect all the linebackers. But I’m better. That’s just how I feel.â€

Saying "period, point blank" after every sentence doesn't make what you say true. He's good, but not close to the best.

He wouldn't look like such a cocky, wrong pr**k if he said he is ONE of the best linebackers...

this is the second time he's said something like this; he said it shortly after he joined the Phins.

He was playing terribly up until the past 2 games and then he decides to run his mouth :icon_rolleyes:

He's not even the best LB in the division, or on his own team really.

Whose better than him in the division? Harris is the only one to be comparable to him. Mayo is a bit over rated. As for Dansby, Willis and Ware. Although Ware is a different type of LB. And Slim3y, what you said, come on. Keep saying stuff like that and you will get drug tested at work.

Wake is better and makes a much bigger impact on the defense. As far as AFCE ILB/MLB go, I'd say Harris is better; I agree that Mayo gets overrated a lot by the media but he was better than Dansby last season imo and he was better this year before he got hurt. Barnett is comparable to Dansby but he plays on a horrific defense so it's easy to forget about him sometimes.

I don't think he's a bad player by any means but he's not anywhere close to being the best LB and up until these past 2 weeks he was underperforming.

NaVorro Bowman > Karlos Dansby. Bowman is a beast. There is no other 3-4 inside backers better then Willis and Bowman

The numbers speak for themselves. Willis and Bowman both in the top ten in Tackles. The Defense is Number 1 in both in fewest points allowed and fewest rushing yards allowed. Both these men are a huge reason.

Number mean jack crap dude. Willis is the reason why Bowman is doing what he is doing, and to think otherwise is insane.

I guess when you get no recognition you should just make statements with no basis and tell someone in the media.....that makes it true I guess :moe:

Unless willis is controlling bowman like a rc car, which he isnt, your way wrong. Bowman would be tearing it up without willis. He is a very smart player. Always taking the right angles and plays sideline to sideline. just look last year. Takeo spikes had a good year but bowman is playing way better than him

lmao. That is absolutely ridiculous. He makes Bowman better because teams try so hard to stay away from Willis. Bowman is bound to have better numbers because the opposing offense is focusing on keeping Willis away from the ball.

Whats funny is that willis has been in coverage way more than he has ever been.

    K Train Do You Honeycutt?

literally any LB could looks like a pro bowler playing next to willis...spikes looked good because of willis, now bowman looks better than spikes because 1) hes next to willis and 2) hes not old and dying like spikes.

    jeez

You guys are giving willis way too much credit. When he came here he was the only good ILB we had. I believe Bowman is the same kind of LB willis is. He gets to the ball. If he was on the cowboys or giants he would have so much more hype. No freaking excuses that his stats are padded because willis. Go watch some niner games and see the best ILBs in the league today. You will see Bowman as I do.
