NFL sources told The Palm Beach Post this week at the Senior Bowl that the Dolphins are likely to switch from a 3-4 to a 4-3 scheme. Ireland confirmed Tuesday that he instructed his scouts shortly after coach Tony Sparano was fired Dec. 12 to start looking at players who would fit a 4-3 defense. Having four down linemen and three linebackers - instead of the reverse - would mean some changes. Outside linebacker Cameron Wake might become a defensive end, for example, and linebacker Koa Misi might move from the outside to the middle. But Ireland said he does not expect "that big of a transition." Source: Palm Beach Post
