Dolphins owner Stephen Ross made a commitment to "take appropriate action if necessary" after General Manager Jeff Ireland asked former Oklahoma State receiver Dez Bryant whether his mother was ever a prostitute. Ross stated "As an owner of many companies and organizations, including the Miami Dolphins, I have always strived to comply with the highest standards in all aspects of my businesses, including recruiting. In interviewing employees, we always look to obtain relevant and appropriate information in adherence with the best industry practices."

It's industry practice to see if words will get someone to do something physical. Do you want to lose yards because the other team says a "your momma" joke to your draft pick?

Hopefully nothing will be done and we can get back to the real story - Where is BRETT FAVRE?

Take what action? Nothing should be done to Ireland. It's a job interview worth millions of dollars. Some of the questions might be tougher than "where do you see yourself in 5 years".
