Miami Dolphins third-string quarterback Tyler Thigpen is “likely†to start Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bears after both Chad Pennington and Chad Henne left Sunday’s win with injuries. Thigpen entered at the start of the fourth quarter and led the Dolphins to a nine-play, 55-yard drive that ended in an 9-yard TD pass to TE Anthony Fasano. He finished the game 4-6 for 64 yards and a TD as the Dolphins emerged with a 29-14 win over the Tennessee Titans. Source: Football News Now
I actually liked Thigpen when he was with the Chiefs, and he looked good last season when he came in late against the Steelers and did the same yesterday. Let's see what kind of game he can put together as the starter.
Now he has the beast in Marshall to throw to and a defense that isn't the worst in the league. So maybe a mobile QB is what the stagnant Dolphin offense needs.
