At the NFL scouting combine on Thursday, Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland said QB's Tyler Thigpen and sophomore Pat White will vie for the No. 2 job behind starter Chad Henne. "They're going to be fighting for the No. 2, No. 3 position," Ireland said. "I think Tyler's going to go into it thinking 'I can win this job,' and Pat's got to do the same thing. We feel like we've got three young, good quarterbacks on this roster that can contribute to this team." Source: ESPN
White's a gimmick QB who pretty much showed what his career was going to look like when he airmailed his first pass on opening day last year... he had all of one good run out of the "Wild Pat," and that was cause of a blown assignment when he should've been killed in the backfield by a New England linebacker. Thigpen at least has shown the ability to be a real professional QB.
