Dolphins running back Ricky Williams says he is done with football after next season. The 32 year old running back who is having a career resurgence told the Houston media on a conference call this week. "I'm going to play this year, I'm going to finish these last two games, and then I'm going to play next year, then I'm going to retire." This is Ricky Williams we are talking about and as he went over 1,000 rushing yards for the first time since 2003, setting an NFL record for time between 1,000-yard seasons he reserves the right to change his mind. Oh yea forgot there playing the texans lol How about the texans score 40 and ricky gets 3 tds the game ends 40-21 this is what my fantasy football tip says under ricky williams Ouch lol
ricky has had a very interesting career. hell, you could make a movie about his sports life. 4-sport star high school player. drafted into pro baseball and played minor league baseball while playing football for the U of Texas. heisman tropy winner. he was selected by the Saints who traded their entire draft to move up to get him. he signs a bizarre rookie contract with nearly impossible to reach incentives. traded to dolphins after a few years. tests positive for pot a couple of times and abruptly retires from football. he comes back a year later, only to be suspended for a year by the league for another drug test. he plays in canada for a year and then returns to the dolphins to finish out his career. um, yeah ................ you don't see that every day ..................
Even though his career could have been so much more successful, it was great to watch his resurgence this year. I hope finishes out in 2010 on a good note.
Why do you ask questions and not acknowledge the answer? Also I wish Ricky would stay around a little longer.
