The Miami Dolphins will release inside linebacker Channing Crowder, Armando Salguero of the Sun-Sentinel reports. Crowder was set to earn $2.5 million in base salary, plus had a $1 million roster bonus and $250,000 workout bonus in the final year of his contract. Miami signed inside linebacker Karlos Dansby to a five-year, $43 million contract and acquired Tim Dobbins from the San Diego Chargers last offseason. Dansby finished second on the team with 95 tackles, while Dobbins had more tackles (43) than Crowder's 39, despite started just six games. Source: macsfootballblog
