The Miami Dolphins have signed veteran cornerback Al Harris to a one-year deal, according to his agent, Jack Bechta. Beside the Dolphins, other teams that were interested in pursuing Harris included the Minnesota Vikings, the Detroit Lions and the Houston Texans. "Al is excited to be playing in his hometown," Bechta said. "He has intimated to me that he wants to play as long as he can. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a new road. He's eager to play right away and also eager to play for a few more years." Harris, 35, was cut recently by the Green Bay Packers after beginning the season on the physically unable to perform list after rehabbing from a major knee injury. A Pompano Beach, Fla., resident, Harris made the decision due to wanting to play in the AFC as well as geographical reasons. Harris is up to speed physically and could square off with Randy Moss on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Source: National Football Post
