According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, not only have a couple hundred premium seat holders stiffed the Dolphins on 2011 payments, but season ticket sales are in the low 40,000s, the worst in 28 years. The team hopes to end up around 45,000, way down from 61,000 in 2006 and 51,000 last year. It seems unlikely that the Dolphins will be able to avoid numerous television blackouts with these early reports.
