Club sources who publicly will applaud Dolphins QB Chad Henne and speak in glowing terms about Henne are saying privately that the Henne era is over in Miami. Henne’s time as the Dolphins starting quarterback is over because his 2011 season ended last week with him lying on the field in San Diego, writhing in pain, clutching a separated left shoulder that requires season-ending surgery. It is ironic that Henne was hurt while trying to run after a running back missed a handoff, vainly trying to patch a broken play. He will be equally helpless to fix his soon-ending relationship with the team. It's actually an injury a QB can play with and he chose not to and chose to shut it down. Two QBs said this week that they both played with the same injury on their non-throwing shoulder. Jim Miller and Rich Gannon.
Yea but remember the FIns got turned down by 2 QB's. To me this says more about the FIns organization. Henne might be playing it smart by not wanting to have a nagging injury going into the off season. By doing this he has a better chance of catching on with someone else by taking care of this now.
Possibly. Even if he's not, they'll be picking early enough to be able to walk away with a 1st round QB if they want one of them.
