Drew Brees completed 31 of 35 passes for 325 yards and five touchdowns, and the Saints took advantage of two early turnovers to cruise to a 62-7 win against the winless Indianapolis Colts Sunday night. For the first time as a head coach, Sean Payton spent the game up high in the coaches' booth, where he could sit comfortably with his broken left leg propped up. He called the plays from there and he had to like what he saw from his new vantage point. Brees had two touchdown passes to Marques Colston and one to Darren Sproles before the first quarter ended. His fourth and fifth touchdown passes went to second-year tight end Jimmy Graham in the third quarter. Source: Associated Press
You know who I blame for this? Ernie Sims, he is cursed and he is just awful. I don't care if he played or not, he is cursed. He could be the first nfl player to play for 2, 0-16 teams.
That was just NASTY. Seriously. Drew made up for his 3 INT game last week and EXPLODED on the Colts defense. I don't care if they didn't have Peyton. With the way the defense played, and the way the Saints offense played? No chance in hell Peyton would have made the difference. Granted - maybe he gave them more life. I don't know. But the Colts are doomed. I wish the Saints would play like that EVERY week.
Caldwell said after the game he liked the Colts' effort............. What effort? This guy is totally clueless and they should be ashamed of themselves for their performance.
He's trying to be too nice to them. Sometimes a team needs to be told they suck. He's too scared to tell them that.
