Prosecutors dropped marijuana possession charges against Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes this morning after deciding there was not probable cause for the traffic stop that led to the charges. Mr. Holmes was found with a small amount of marijuana after police pulled him over near Mellon Arena on Oct. 23. Assistant District Attorney Rachel Newman announced at a hearing this morning before Allegheny County Judge Lester G. Nauhaus that, after reviewing case law, she determined the stop would not hold up in court.

See? The Sportsguy's rule applies here: They can do whatever the heck they want. They are World Champions. (It's GIF's Sportsguy, not the REAL sports guy, anyway).

It got dropped because it was a pathetic charge on a little bit of weed, it would have been dropped for anyone.

it all depends on the judge and circumstances. i got caught with 1/2 a joint and had to pay a $300 fine.

Honestly, weed is so close to legal, there's not even a point in getting in trouble for it.

I went to court for failure to pay a parking ticket that my ex wife never bother to tell me she got.

The case before me was similar to this.

Two kids got pulled over for not having a license place attached to the back of their vehicle.

The defendants lawyer put the officer on the stand and questioned him.

Turns out that they did have a valid 30 day temporary paper license in their rear windshield.

The judge had to throw the case out because after the officer saw that they had a valid license on their vehicle there was no further reason to question the suspects, and he searched their car and found a medicine bottle filled with weed.

That pissed the judge off so much that he threw me in jail because I didn't have the $500 on me to pay off the ticket and late fees.

Freaking legal system is just hecked up as can be.
