I have Andrew Luck as a keeper in an espn dynasty league (not in my sig) where we keep 8 guys each year. Phil Rivers is our back up and have been offered a trade straight up for either Brandin Cooks or Odell Beckham (our choice). Who is the better long-term keeper? League settings are 0.3PPR, 10 yds Rec. QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, Flex The rest of my team: QB: Luck, Rivers RB: Bernard, Ellington, Ball, Bradshaw, A Williams, J McKinnon WR: D Jackson, James Jones, J Matthews, M Evans, C Patterson, B Quick, J Hunter TE: L Donnell, J Cameron Thoughts?
Oooh this is interesting. I would love to hear what @Greg Brosh thinks of this. It's very close.... I just haven't seen enough out of Beckham to give it to him. And Cooks seems like he is the guy in NO.
I wouldn't. You're pretty strapped up long-term in a dynasty at WR with that Evans/Matthews/Patterson/Quick/Hunter group, and you'd be giving up arguably the #1 dynasty QB for (in either case) a WR that would be at best a minor upgrade over most of that aforementioned group, if that. Luck should command a kings ransom in a dynasty.
Sorry for confusion, the trade would be Rivers for Cooks/Beckham. Luck is pretty much untouchable at this point as you guys rightly stated. Does that change your thoughts on this one?
Rivers makes a hell of a lot of difference then. He's set to turn 33 in December. I would grab Cooks in this deal. Cruz is locked up, Randle still has 2015 to play. Beckham probably has another year to get going. But Cooks will be the man with Colston losing value already this year.
