Eagles general manager Howie Roseman traded quarterback Kevin Kolb - last year’s presumed successor to Donovan McNabb before a first-game injury and Michael Vick’s excellence altered the plan – to the Arizona Cardinals for a 2012 second-round draft pick and former Pro Bowl cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Given that the Eagles already had a Pro Bowl corner in Asante Samuel, no one considered them a serious contender to sign Nnamdi Asomugha, which made it all the more shocking when they landed him with a five-year, $60-million deal. Though Roseman has since shopped Samuel to potential suitors – a source said he was asking for a pair of second-round picks in return – the GM said Monday he was comfortable keeping all three high-profile corners on the roster in 2011. id make that trade..... and id make that trade 100000000 times over DRC and a second for kolb. freaking eagles
yeah that would be such a great job to lose just because you paid a backup QB 60 million dollars :icon_cheesygrin:
As good of an offseason as we have had, this would just heck it up. DO NOT TRADE THIS MOTHER FREAKER.
They trade him, cool. The Eagles get two second rounders. And the Eagles have had success recently with second rounders (Jackson and McCoy). Nobody does it, they keep 3 solid corners for 2011. Only reason Roseman set this is because he knows no one will take it. And if someone does, awesome.
I would really like to see Chi do this ..We have done horrible in the draft the last couple of years and will continue to do so until we get rid of JA,so I say do it because Bowman can't stay healthy and I shake my head to the fact that Tim jennings might be our starting CB on the oppiste side of Tillman.
