The Eagles claimed linebacker Najee Goode off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and released linebacker Emmanuel Acho on Monday. The move comes as a surprise because Acho appeared to be the team's third best inside linebacker, even registering 11 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble on Monday. But the team kept both Casey Matthews and Jake Knott ahead of Acho. Special teams also factors into the decision, though, and Matthews is a strong special teams player. Goode, 6-foor and 244 pounds, was a fifth-round pick by the Bucs last season out of West Virginia. Source: Philly.com
