The Eagles are on pace to re-write the history books. Eagles running back LeSean McCoy currently leads the NFL in rushing and all-purpose yards this season. While the Eagles will be playing for a playoff berth on Sunday against the Cowboys, McCoy and the team could shatter a few franchise and league records in Week 17. McCoy is currently leading the league in rushing by 189 yards, while his total yards are 32 more than anyone else. Running back Jamaal Charles is the number two player behind McCoy in both categories. If McCoy rushes for just 37 yards on Sunday, he will take down Wilbert Montgomery's team record of 1,513 rushing yards set 34 years ago in 1979. If McCoy gains a total of 93 yards, he will break Brian Westbrook's 2007 team record of 2,104 all-purpose yards. He and quarterback Nick Foles can also be the first teammates to lead the league in rushing and passer rating in the same season since 1965, if both complete Sunday's game with even relatively average numbers. McCoy and Jackson have already become the highest scoring running back-wide receiver tandem in a season in team history. They are the only pair to both have 1,300 yards in their respective categories. Jackson also only needs 106 receiving yards against the Cowboys to break Mike Quick's 1983 record of 1,409 yards. The entire offense only needs five plays of 20 yards or more against the Cowboys to set the NFL record for that category in a season. The current mark is held by the 2001 Rams. The Eagles offense can also break the franchise net yards record with just 77 yards against the Cowboys. They would also become just the third team in NFL history to have gained 400 yards in 13 games during a season, if they reach that total or more on Sunday.
