It's no surprise to me that they (as in the Eagles) have decided to rework the final two years of the deal instead of extending the actual contract. Throwing more money at McNabb will keep a lid on him in the short-term, but there's no way he gets an extention before the end of the season. Whatever happens in '09 will determine whether it's gonna be McNabb or Kolb in '10.
this is no surprise here. they need to get this done. im not sure who they would go to if he leaves the eagles and they dont resign him
So if they extend McNabb say to 2012 with a favorable contract to the Eagles, what do they do with Kolb in 2010?
Idk maybe let him go somewhere else. We will probably be drafting another QB in the near future. All the comments from the coaching staff have been that mcnabb is in his prime future hall of famer. There putting off the extension but if mcnabb keeps up his numbers from last year you can almost guarentte he will be extended. Kolb has not shown enough for him to be extended his progress is slow.
