There's a feeling that the Eagles' offensive line will have a far different look other than at tackle. Nick Cole may have a good chance to beat out Jamaal Jackson at center in training camp. That would mean, with the announcement that Shawn Andrews will play right tackle and brother Stacy will be at right guard, that four of the five OL positions could be different from last season. There good changes though and i like our olines depth as well like at guard we still have max jean giles which did a pretty good job. King dunlap has a chance to make the backup spot to. If you dont follow the eagles you probably dont know hiw but the guy is huge i hope he makes it.
The Eagles have made some nice replacements/upgrades to Tre and Big Jon's old spots and the line looks great on paper. The thing is that they don't have any play time together, so they haven't been able to develop any continuity together. The best lines in the league aren't just the ones with the best players, but ones that have been together for a few years. One thing is for sure... between the Cowboys Skins and Giants it will certainly be tested.
Well it shouldent be to hard to get chemistry stacy and shawn are brothers and shawn played with peters in college. I think they will have chemistry just fine.
You never can tell how a line is going to gel with so many changes despite the talent. I hope they instantly have chemistry.
I would have just quoted you and said "yeah that", but I don't like agreeing with Giants fans. :icon_mrgreen:
dawk is correct. the chemistry of an o-line is a very tricky thing. if they gel and how quickly is completely unknown at this point, regardless of whether a couple of the guys have played together previously.
I am loving this offseason for the fact that there are backups who are causing the vets to not feel too comfortable with their starting job because it may not last too long. I hope Maclin really pushes Curtis this year.
