The Eagles' rookie safety is dealing with a sore knee. Earl Wolff returned for the first time since Week 10 against the Bears on Sunday Night Football but only played four defensive snaps before leaving the game. Wolff seemed to come up limping after making a deflection. After he headed over the sidelines he didn't return. Patrick Chung filled in for Wolff the remainder of the game. On Monday, Eagles coach Chip Kelly said that Wolff's absence was a precautionary measure. "Because we were ahead, and then obviously he's been out for a while, so we were just going to try to work him back in the lineup, and then we got a lead and we didn't feel like we needed to put him back out there. We'll see how he goes this week." Eagles defensive coordinator Bill Davis shed a little more light on the Wolff injury situation during his Tuesday press conference. "He's day‑to‑day, and I believe he's going to be okay. But in that game we made the decision we were going to rotate. Him being healthy. But he tweaked the knee and was feeling a little awkward after the diving break‑up, we decided why risk it? Let's see how the game plays out. If we can hold them and get more reps this week, we'll be okay. So going forward, we'll see how his health is doing and make decisions from there." Wolff was seen practicing with the team on Tuesday. After practice, Wolff confirmed he participated in all team drills but said he's feeling sore. It will be interesting to see how Wolff holds up the rest of the week. Elsewhere on the roster, Kurt Coleman returned to practice. Coleman was inactive against the Bears due to a hamstring injury. Another special teams player that missed the Chicago game was Colt Anderson. Anderson wasn't able to participate in Tuesday's practice. As for Dallas, it was reported on Monday that Romo is out for the remainder of the season. The Cowboys wouldn't officially confirm this report, but expectations are that Kyle Orton will start at quarterback. Insider linebacker Sean Lee is also expected to miss Sunday's game, which is a huge loss for the Dallas defense.
