The Philadelphia Eagles are letting it be known they are open to dealing cornerback Asante Samuel, according to league sources. Samuel is likely in his last year with the Eagles and would be replaced by Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the future. The Eagles could use linemen and linebackers, as the club is already loaded with 2012 draft picks. The odds of a trade getting done before Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET trade deadline don't seem all that high, but it is a possibility ahead of the deadline with the Eagles ascertaining what value could be had for Samuel. ike reeese said on the radio that he has heard from players tht asante has been a bit of a problem in the locker room since the kolb trade.
I normally like Ike Reese but shut the heck up. Even if this is true, whatever. The dude is still one of the top DB's in the NFL. If we can get some help and trade him, I'm all about it. But I'm sick of giving crap up for draft picks. I don't want to trade Asante for another freaking 4 Olinemen or crapty LB's in teh draft.
why should he shut the heck up ? he has an inside track to the locker room none of us have and smauel's attitude has "everything" to do with the trade possbility.
