The knee injury that sidelined Eagles OT Jason Peters during the first quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Raiders likely won’t keep him out of next Monday’s game against the Redskins. Eagles coach Andy Reid said Monday that Peters sustained a knee contusion and ankle sprain, but he should be able to work through the injuries this week. Reid based his outlook on the results of an MRI exam and that Peters was â€￾walking around halfway decent. We’ll see how he does this week.â€￾

Thank God. We found out exactly how important he is to this team on Sunday.
