Eagles QB Kevin Kolb Done For The Day After Concussion

Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb suffered a concussion at the end of the first half against the Packers on Sunday. He took a hit, and while it didn't appear to be too serious, he apparently suffered a concussion as a result. He's doubtful to return today, meaning Michael Vick will be under center. To that point in the game Kolb had struggled, only putting up 24 passing yards and no touchdowns.

This is great! I deplore Vick, but the idea that we have a QB controversy already is wonderful. That's right Eagles -- give up on your promising young QB after 1/2 of football. :icon_cheesygrin:

Also, look how nice it is for Vick to not have to have his rhythm interrupted every third play with the backup QB running in to take a snap. Too bad for Kolb that he'll never know what that feels like.

Well, keep in mind the Packers didnt gameplan for Vick

Im guessing he will get two or three more starts. We'll see how that goes. Wouldnt be surprised if Eagles fans are clamoring for Kolb by the end of week 3

 

I know what Kolb is capable of, that's the frustrating thing. I've accepted it'll be a rough year wo want him to get as much gametime logged as possible. A Lombardi is highly unlikely with Vick, so no sense even wasting time if Kolb is healthy enough to play.

 

Honestly, I dont see the Eagles winning 8 games with Vick. I dont think Vick could beat either NY or Dallas

The controversy has begun...at least until Kolb comes out and beats the Lions.

 

What surprised me the most was that Vick looked COMFORTABLE in the pocket, something he never really was in Atlanta. It was on and off here.

 

The word I thought of was composed. He seemed very relaxed in the pocket and picked the right time to run for the most part.
