According to the Eagles injury report, two players did not practice on Wednesday. One of them was rookie safety Earl Wolff. The Eagles released their first injury report of the week as they prepare to face the Saints on Saturday night. On Tuesday, rookie safety Earl Wolff noted he felt optimistic about his playing chances this week. Wednesday's injury report tells another story. For the second straight day, Wolff did not practice. Eagles coach Chip Kelly noted it's vital that Wolff practice in order to play this week. Earl has to practice if he's going to play [...] he's got to get out there at some point in time. After practice, Wolff spoke to the media. He still remained optimistic about his playing chances. Wolff said he will practice on Thursday, but apparently Thursday is only expected to be a walkthrough practice for the team. If Wolff doesn't play, the Eagles will have to rely on veteran safety Patrick Chung. It's also possible Kurt Coleman is mixed in, according to Jeff McLane. This isn't exactly great news for a secondary that will be matched up with a strong Saints passing attack. Word out of locker room is that Kurt Coleman will play some safety on Saturday w/ Wolff unlikely to play. Anderson was dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of the Eagles' last two games. Elsewhere, backup center Julian Vandervelde missed practiced with a back injury. For New Orleans, only two players were listed on the injury report. Safety Rafael Bush and running back Pierre Thomas did not practice.
