DeSean Jackson has some protection this season, the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver is patiently waiting for a contract extension. He’s making $600,000 this season and would like more. In the meantime, Jackson has secured an insurance policy, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer,Jackson would only say it’s worth “millions.â€￾ The only problem with these policies is they serve as protection against a career-ending injury only. If Jackson were to suffer say a torn ACL and never be the same player he currently is again, the policy wouldn’t pay him because it wouldn’t be deemed career ending, hopefully for Jackson and the Eagles a deal emerges soon.
