Jeremy Maclin told PhillySportsDaily.com that he has gotten over a "mono-like illness" that has taken 15 pounds off his frame. The Eagles' receiver was noticeably thinner according to the report, but he's been working to put the weight back on (he's gotten back seven pounds, he says). "It was off and on," said Maclin of the illness. "I went for a week where I felt good, and then all of a sudden the feeling would be back." With nearly 1,000 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns in 2010, it's obvious that Maclin is one of the best weapons in the Philadelphia offense. Hopefully the illness over with and he can focus on getting ready for the season (we're grateful this didn't happen during the season). Source: CBSSports
"Mono-Like" that could have not been more general. If they are talking about Mononucleosis (Glandular Fever), then that is a snitch of an illness to get having experienced it myself (And trust me, I wasn't getting down with the hood rats when I caught back when I was 12). He won't be feeling right for a while.
