Reggie Brown is happy to be in Philadelphia, for now. The Eagles wide receiver said he's out to prove himself after a disappointing 2008 season. But if he feels he should be on the field, and the coaching staff thinks differently, well, there could be some problems. "I'm just gonna make the best out of what I have right now," Brown said during an interview on Comcast SportsNet. "I don't think I'm gonna force the issue too much unless I have to. Unless things start to decline to me not playing at all when I know I should be and everyone knows I should be. i would rather the team use the money they save by cutting brown, if there even is any, and re-sign baskett.
Screwin' guy is getting paid way too much. This is the crap I love, we reward young guys for playing well early in their careers, and if they keep playing good they want more money. Well if they start sucking butt can we ask to pay them less? Can the team 'hold out' on paying Reggie since he is grossly overpaid? Horsecrap. And back to this story. Screw you Reggie, you stink. You'll probably get cut before the season starts, don't worry about a trade. DeSean, Curtis, Maclin, Avant, and Baskett are all better than you.

Can we get like a 5th for him? Greg lewis went for a 5th and brown is atleast better than him. Give him a little credit he did have a year with 800 yards and 7 tds.
Actually i just checked and it was 8 tds. Point is before this year he was a decent receiver could be a #3 somewhere else instead of a 6th.
i know baskett, the point was it makes no sense to debate it. he said some less than complimentry things about the team and qb so he is destined to collect splinters. it's the way the eagles do things.
I think there is quite a bit of overreaction to what he said. It's not like he's saying start me or trade me. I think he still may be a fairly effective player in the league if he can stay healthy. I haven't totally written him off yet.
dawk, this comment isnt that big of a deal but add it to the other things he has said along the way and it looks to me that he may find himself having the best seat in the house to watch games. he hasnt lived up to his ptotential but he doesnt exactly suck. he just opened his mouth.
