Earnest Byner Hoping To Be The Jaguars Running Back Coach

  1. In the wake of Earnest Byner being fired by Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher largely due to Fisher zeroing in on Kennedy Pola as his new running backs coach, Byner is hoping to take over Pola's former position with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Byner was greeted warmly by several NFL assistant coaches at the Senior Bowl practices as they wished him well in his pending job interview with the Jaguars and offering to give him recommendations. It's still somewhat of a head-scratcher that Byner was fired considering that the accomplished former NFL running back with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Redskins coached Chris Johnson as the Pro Bowl runner gained 2,006 rushing yards this past season.
