Veteran cornerback Eric Wright, who is ineligible to play for the first six weeks of the regular season, reported to the 49ers and was seen taking part in rehab exercises on Tuesday. The 49ers signed Wright, a talented six-year veteran, on Aug. 8. On Tuesday, as the 49ers trimmed their roster to 75 players, Wright was placed on reserve non-football injury/illness list. Beginning after the sixth week (Oct. 15) and continuing through the conclusion of the 11th weekend of regular season games (Nov. 18), Wright will be eligible to begin practicing with the team. From the time he begins practicing, the 49ers will have a 21-day window during which time the club may activate him to the 53-man roster. Wright's exact condition is not known, but he was limited by an Achilles injury last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Source: Comcast Sports
