As first reported by Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, it appears as though former San Francisco 49ers running back Glen Coffee has been arrested in Florida for possession of a concealed weapon. Glenwood Razeem Coffee was booked into Okaloosa County Jail at 1:54am. Coffee, a third-round pick out of Alabama in 2009, abruptly retired during training camp. "It was a struggle for a long time. Actually when I look back I feel I never should have entered the draft in the first place," Coffee told Matthew Barrows of the Sacramento Bee in August. "Football was no longer my dream. I found Christ in college. It changed my views on everything. But I still was a football player because it was expected of me, it was something I did all my life. I was basically wasting the (49ers') time." Coffee appeared in 14 games as a rookie last season, starting two games and carrying the ball 83 times for 226 yards and one touchdown. Coffee added 11 receptions for 76 yards out of the backfield, and made 10 tackles on special teams. Source: Mac's Football Blog
