Former Notre Dame star and Chicago Bears defensive tackle Chris Zorich has resigned from the Fighting Irish's athletic department amid an investigation into missing funds in his charitable foundation. Jared Hopkins of the Chicago Tribune reports that Notre Dame confirmed Zorich has left the school and his position – the university described him as the manager of youth programming and community outreach – recently. Hopkins reported in June that Zorich did not know where $864,645 from his foundation was, money that was last listed in a 2002 federal tax return. Two months later, Zorich claimed he was still searching for bank records to locate the funds. Per the report, the Illinois attorney general's office is investigating Zorich. Source: Yahoo! Sports
