Is it really retiring when no team wants you?

he refused a tryout offer by the redskins. he retired instead of pursuing a spot on a roster.

It was a tryout, not an offer to sign. He gave up cause he realized he's never make another NFL roster.

ok .................... well, you seem to have a personal relationship with jones to know what he's thinking in his head so i guess you're right.

btw, how is jones doing with his coke habit?

Naw, I don't like that crackhead...hated him when he was at Arkansas. I'm just saying if he's headed to Europe to play basketball, something must have clicked in his head that his football days are past him.
