Johnnie Gray, a former Packers safety and member of the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, will be presented for shareholder vote to join the Packers Board of Directors, Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy announced today. The vote will become formal at the organization's Annual Meeting, July 30. Proxies recently were sent to shareholders. Currently an instructional aid at De Pere's Syble Hopp School, Gray played in 124 games during his career (1975-1983). "We're excited to present Johnnie to the shareholders for election to the Board," said Murphy. "As a former player, he has a unique respect and understanding for the game and the franchise. He also brings a great perspective from his years of dedicated work in the community."
