The Atlanta Falcons today agreed to terms with defensive back Brian Williams. Williams, 5-11, 202 pounds, enters his eighth season in the NFL having previously played with the Minnesota Vikings (2002-05) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2006-08). Last season, Williams started all 16 games and compiled 89 tackles and two interceptions while adding seven passes defensed. "Brian Williams is a veteran player who gives us versatility in the secondary with the ability to play both cornerback and safety," said Falcons General Manger Thomas Dimitroff.
