The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms with running back Jason Snelling, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Financial terms of the one-year deal were not disclosed. A seventh-round pick (244th overall) out of Virginia in 2007, Snelling has rushed for 937 yards and six touchdowns over the last two seasons as the top backup to Michael Turner. The 5-foot-11, 223-pound has added 74 receptions for 562 yards and four touchdowns out of the backfield. Snelling has been a quality back up and nice compliment to Turner. I think he has something like 3 or 4 games with 20+ carries and has only had one game less than 100 yards and that was for 76.
Yeah Snelling is a high quality backup an an excellent resign for ATL. I'm pretty surprised no one elae signed him actually, he's shown flashes of starter potential in the last two years as far as I'm concerned.
