During an interview with Alex Marvez Sirius/XM NFL Radio on Friday, Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff disclosed that the organization was open to appearing on HBO's "Hard Knocks" series. "I truly believe that an organization has to be in the right spot to jump into something like Hard Knocks," Dimitroff said via D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "I think it sheds a lot of light on our league. This is a league of entertainment. There are some traditionalists that struggle with it, but they have to work against the grain a little bit and see that this is about entertainment. Hard Knocks is a good show for the fan base." Dimitroff added that the team was approached about appearing two years ago, but with the team early on in its rebuilding phase, declined the invitation. "It’s such an individual thing," Dimitroff said. "Hard Knocks could be right for some of the teams that are fairly entrenched. It could be right for some team that wants to kick off some more brand recognition." The Falcons are entering year four of the Dimitroff/Mike Smith era, which has seen the franchise post a 33-15 regular season record, posting two and now three consecutive winning seasons for the first time in franchise history. Dimitroff and Smith each signed multi-year extensions this off-season.

The Panthers need "Hard Knocks". Maybe it'd shame them into moving to LA.
