The Atlanta Falcons announced that linebacker Robert James has signed a "Reserve/Future" contract. Financial terms of the two-year contract were not disclosed. A fifth-round pick (138th overall) out of Arizona State by the Falcons in 2008, James spent his rookie season on injured reserve and most of 2009 on Atlanta's practice squad. James served a four-game suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. The Falcons waived and re-signed James to their practice squad upon his reinstatement.
