If the Vikings were to put their roster decisions to a vote, Brett Favre would not be wearing purple next season. Rasmussen Reports, a leading national polling firm, found that only 29 percent of Minnesotans want the Vikings to sign Favre, 42 percent questioned late last week said it's a bad idea, and 30 percent weren't sure. The pollsters also found that 44 percent say they would be less likely to support public financing of a new Vikings stadium if the team signs the former Packers quarterback while only a mere 7 percent said it would make them more likely to back tax dollars being spent on a new Vikings home, and 49 percent say Favre signing or not signing would have no impact on their decision.
