ESPN Radio 980 in Washington D.C. reports via twitter that five teams are interested in trading for Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell. The Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars and an unknown team are interested in acquiring Campbell, according to ESPN Washington. The Redskins acquired Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb via trade on Sunday and Campbell is now the odd man out with this acquisition along with Rex Grossman being familiar with offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's offense during his one year tenure with the Houston Texans last season. I hope he doesn't wind up in Oakland. We don't need another second string quarterback we have three already. Or is that four?
You have a second stringer, a bench warmer, and an epic failure. Campbell is easily the best of the four. That said, I'm shocked that Jacksonville is interested in him, seeing as they the only team of those listed with an "established" QB (by established I mean consistent). If they land him would that set off some weird butt chain of events forcing Garrard out of town?
Bills could use him....... At least until they are able to draft for something better or have him as a good back up. Campbell isnt horrible, just needs an appropriate team that will work with him... the redskins were very unorganized last season.
Ha....I figure the Raiders will get him....so he can be the second bench warmer, while the failure screws up yet another season. :icon_cheesygrin:
I don't know that Campbell is all that bad. This would be his sixth head coach or something like that since he got drafted. Hard to win without consistency in the organization. Browns fans know this first hand.
he hasn't had the same OC 2 years in a row since HS......the guy can play and i think him leaving Washington will be great for him
good luck to campbell, hes an underated qb thats just been in the wrong place at the wrong time, hope he goes and gives it to the redskins next year lol
But he has.. That excuse gets used all the time but the fact is he has shown very little improvement in his time with the Redskins and struggles making reads and with his accuracy. Maybe he will be better elsewhere but I doubt its by much.
