Provo • Former BYU football star, five-time NFL Pro Bowler, two-time Super Bowl champion and television sports analyst Todd Christensen died Wednesday morning during surgery at a local hospital. Christensen, who has battled liver disease and other serious illnesses in recent years, was 57. Source: Salt Lake Tribune Walnuts's Take: RIP, one of the best in his time. If he had accepted the switch from fullback sooner in his career he may have ended up as one of the all time greats. Hell of a player regardless.

one of the best tight ends to ever play.the guy was a genius off the field, and not a bad announcer. you guys were right, back when he played it was truly a sport as opposed to whatever the hell you want to call it now!
Todd gave a speech in 2007 that ranks right up there with Jimmy V's speech that he gave after he was diagnosed with cancer. It's just over 8 minutes long, but it's the best 8 minutes you'll spend today. Get Kleenex.
