The Chicago Tribune is reporting that former Bears receiver Jim Seymour passed away Tuesday night at the age of 64. Seymour appeared in 31 games with the Bears over three seasons from 1970-72, catching 21 passes for 385 yards and five touchdowns. In 1974, Seymour played for the Chicago Fire in the World Football League, Seymour was a first-team All-American at Notre Dame in 1967 and 1968. In his first college game in 1966, he set a school receiving record that still stands with 276 yards against Purdue, the Fighting Irish won the national championship in 1966 with a 9-0-1 record.
