Hugh Douglas, a former NFL Defensive Player of the Year, was arraigned in a Hartford, Conn., courtroom on Tuesday following his arrest for allegedly attacking a woman, Hartford television station WFSB reported. Douglas was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation. Police said a fight broke out between Douglas and a woman at a Marriott hotel in downtown Hartford. According to court documents, the former defensive end "grabbed (the woman) by the neck" and "slammed her into walls several times," WFSB reported.
