Former NFL WR Cris Carter Reveals He Used Bounties While With Vikings, Eagles

Former NFL wide receiver Cris Carter publicly admitted during a Tuesday interview with ESPN Radio that he placed bounties on opponents during his 16-year career. "I'm guilty of it," Carter said. "It's the first time I've ever admitted it. But I put a bounty on guys before. I put bounties on guys. And the guys tried to take me out, a guy tried to take a cheap shot on me, I put a bounty on him, right now." Carter said Tuesday that if he heard a defensive player was going after him -- he cited former linebacker Bill Romanowski as an example -- he would "put a little change on his head before the game" to ensure his team's guards would "protect" him. "Protect myself, protect my family," said Carter, who has been a Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist for five consecutive years. "That's the league that I grew up in."

Carter used bounties to protect himself not intentionally injure players like the Saints. He just told his O-Lineman to watch out for him and then bought them a meal or gave them a few bucks. Huge difference from the Saints bounties. Still stupid to admit, have a nice time trying to get into the HOF now CC.
