For the second time in five years, former New England Patriots offensive tackle Nick Kaczur has been involved in an undercover drug sting after first being caught possessing or attempting to purchase painkillers. While a member of the Patriots in April of 2008, Kaczur was arrested in upstate New York for illegal possession of prescription pills, following that arrest, Kaczur cooperated with the Drug Enforcement Administration in a sting operation to indict his supplier, wearing a hidden device during three purchases in the Foxboro, Mbutt. area, the Boston Globe reported on June 4, 2008. According to Clevescene.com, Kaczur once again assisted authorities after a United States Postal Inspector intercepted a one-pound package of painkillers that were sent from Las Vegas to Kaczur's Chagrin Falls, Ohio home last December. Kaczur cooperated with the postal inspector and Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department, agreeing to have the package searched. Inside, there were 368 Oxycontin pills and a Xanax pill. Kaczur told the authorities that he purchases the pills from Rodney John Gamby, a former teammate at the University of Toledo teammate who had been dismissed from the program in 2005 for selling Oxycontin to teammates.
