Thought it would be a cool idea to see how people are grading their teams (or other teams) in Free Agency as it goes.

My Grades so far for a few teams:

Eagles - B+ (Asante Samuel...great addition. If they get Javon Walker or a potential #1, this grade shoots to an A+)

Jaguars - B (Cleo Lemon is a quality backup for Garrard and scoring Jerry Porter is HUGE. A change of scenary and someone to get him the football not to mention, he's got a running game to back him up. I think he could be a monster with no drama!!)

Jets - B (Getting Kris Jenkins and Alan Faneca...unloading Vilma for picks. They're on the right track!! Thomas Jones is happy!!)

Dolphins - B- (Parcells is making some nice moves to get some quality players onto the team and build a little depth. Wilford was a good signing to go opposite Ted Ginn. Still need a little more to bump this grade.)

Niners - C+ (a bunch of depth added and a lot of talk about some real nice player visits. I give the Niners a C+ so far.)

Vikings - C (based on the talks and visits. They're making a nice effort and seem headed in the right direction.)

Lions - C (Dwight Smith...good signing! Unloaded Shaun Rogers...)

Steelers - D (Made the necessary tender offers, missed out on Jeff Faine, Ernest Wilford...Faneca is most likely gone. Not feeling the LOVE out of Pittsburgh right now.)

Obviously, these grades will change as the days progress, so feel free to post a rolling grade...

I think the Browns are gonna get an A - they are very active in free angency, getting Corry Williams will be huge!

For the Packers - so far I am confused and would give them a D. WTF trade Williams for a 2nd rounder, and are now looking a DL in free agency? Why not just keep Williams?

I think the Dolphins should be a little higher than a B-. Wilford and Smiley both were huge needs on the team and are big upgrades. Randy Starks and Jason Ferguson at DT will give them some depth on the D-line that they need in a bad way to. I'd say B+ at minimum.....maybe A-.

That was before I saw they got Josh McCown, not a huge deal but definite improvement over what they had.......Gotta be an A now.

Steelers at a D is mighty generous.

I had them at an F when I began, but I'll give them credit for offering the tenders out. It could always go down...which it looks like it could very well do... :ranting:

San Francisco is getting bumped to an A from me...they sign all that depth and add Isaac Bruce on offense and Justin Smith on the other side of the ball!!!

    Kudos Niners...

I think the 'Skins deserve a good grade for just doing nothing so far for once.

Raiders D+: giving Tommy Kelly huge money was a big mistake. But resigning Fargas was a good move and picking up Gibril Wilson was also a good move

    Saintsfan1972 BREESUS SAVES

MLB Jonathan Vilma------MLB was a need, if his knee holds up vilma is a steal for what we got him for

CB Randall Gay-----he's good, not a #1 CB but a stump is an upgrade to jason david

DE Bobby McCray-----FINALLY we have a decent pass rusher

I'll give my Saints a B so far....
