Darren Sharper might need to get off crutches before he begins his free-agent tour. The veteran safety has undergone arthroscopic knee surgery and showed up for the premier of the Super Bowl DVD for the New Orleans Saints using crutches, according to Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times Picayune. the saints had to know about this. he was nursing a sore knee most of the second half of the season. great job by the front office by not slapping a franchise tag on him. he'll be back in the black & gold.
