Free agent safety Madieu Williams is deciding between contract offers from the Atlanta Falcons and Washington Redskins, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. A 2004 second round pick out of the University of Maryland by the Cincinnati Bengals, Williams has 488 tackles, 4.5 quarterback sacks, and 12 interceptions in an 103-game career with the Bengals (2004-07), Minnesota Vikings (2008-10) and San Francisco 49ers, where he spent the 2011 season after being released by the Vikings for salary cap purposes. Williams played behind Pro Bowl free safety Dashon Goldson last season, recording six tackles in around 14 percent of the 49ers' defensive snaps. Williams added three tackles on special teams during the regular season and recorded a tackle and forced fumble on special teams in the playoffs. Source: Mac's Football Blog
