Giants CB Aaron Ross continued to take practice snaps with the safeties. Ross, who is still rounding himself into game shape after nine weeks of inactivity, has been playing safety in the Giants' sub packages, and could see a bigger role this weekend as a backup if starter Michael Johnson (groin) is limited in any way. Johnson presumably would be replaced by C.C. Brown, but if something were to happen to Brown, the most likely scenario, barring the addition of another safety, would be for Aaron Rouse to move over to the strong safety spot and Ross to handle the free safety responsibilities.
